This suite is so named because of the principal semi-precious stone, Amazonite, a soft and luminous gem. The black freshwater pearls (dyed) have a nearly semi-circular shape; the necklace is designed so that the pearls face one direction half way around the neck and then the other way. This necklace also combines metals in two colors, silver and gold. The clasp is hand-made and gold-plated over silver (“vermeil”). The necklace sits on the neck just below the collar bone, and is between 18 1/2 and 21 inches in length. The earrings are 2 1/2 inches in length, and have posts and are secured with ear nuts. I loved making this set, and if you are interested in purchasing either piece or both, please contact me via email.
